The Advanced Actors scene study course is meticulously designed to help students consistently unearth the truth within every character. This is a great opportunity for aspiring actors in training who are seeking a more profound connection with the craft.

These Advanced Acting classes run weekly, challenging students to continually develop their skills. In this course you will experience a professional process which mirrors the on-set dynamics between director, actor and the camera. You will gain valuable insights which will help to demystify acting and ultimately cultivate your own artistic essence.

Students work with many diverse, demanding and challenging scenes each week. Your Acting coach will direct and challenge you to find your truth in the scene, help remove obstacles and ensure you are always fighting for what you want.

This is an advanced acting course for the more experienced actor in training wanting to confront their blocks, get out of their comfort zone and gain a deeper knowledge of themselves and their craft.

The Advanced Actors scene study course is designed as a workout actors can re-visit again and again to stay match fit for performance.

Acting coach, Actor, Writer and Director Damian Walshe-Howling has been teaching at Brave Studios for over 15 years. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his experience within the Film and TV industry that spans over two decades. He is passionate about the craft of Acting and works with each individual to bring out their most truthful and powerful performance. He encourages actors to make bold choices and dive into the unknown to get out of ones head and be in the moment.

Acting coach James Saunders is one of Australia’s most prolific actors and talented writers bringing a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to our acting students. With a passion for the craft of acting, James is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where students can explore, grow, and develop their skills to become the best actors they can be. 

This is not a beginner’s course. Students must be competent in Brave Studios Actors Scene Study course or equivalent training. We require you to be proficient in script and scene analysis and be ready to make bold choices and explore.

Strong Command of the English language

Students will be dealing with difficult concepts that require an advanced level of English language comprehension. Therefore, it is imperative that all students have a strong command of English. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

APPLICATIONS & PRE-REQUISITES

*Applicants must complete one or more of the following pre-requisites

  • Competency in Brave Studios  Actors Workshop Scene Study level or above
  • Successful audition at Brave Studios with one of the Acting School Directors.
  • Provide a showreel showcasing work of the standard required

Strong command of the English Language

Students will be dealing with difficult concepts that require an advanced level of English language comprehension. Therefore, it is imperative that all students have a strong command of English as there will be constant reading and learning of text. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

  • Payment Options

    *We do not take payment through the website. Payment can either be made over the phone via credit card, or via direct deposit. The account details will be sent to you in an invoice once you enrol.

    *Full Payment is required once you have been confirmed. Please note we DO NOT take any deposit payments for our courses at Brave Studios.
    *STUDENT LOYALTY DISCOUNT - If you have completed 3 or more 8 week courses with Brave Studios you may be eligible for an ongoing 10% discount. This only applies to Beginner and Actors Workshop 8 week courses commenced from 2013 onwards.

  • CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

    COURSE PAYMENTS: Courses must be paid in full once your application has been confirmed.

    REFUND POLICY:
    Notification of cancellation must be given at least 7 days prior to course commencement for course fees to be refunded. If you do not notify us of cancellation 7 days prior to the commencement of the course your fees paid will be retained by Brave Studios.
    No refunds will be given for cancellations made after course commencement. If you miss 3X consecutive classes from weeks 1-3, you are unable to attend the remainder of the course or receive a transfer/refund.
    Payments for the 3-hour introductory workshop and 1-day auditioning workshops are non-refundable.
    Brave Studios reserves the right to cancel any class, in which case fees will be refunded in full.
    12 MONTH PROGRAMS- All payments must be made on the agreed date specified on the Invoice. Should you withdraw from the course after the commencement date, any fees paid will be retained, no refund will be applied and you are obliged to pay the balance of all fees owing.
    TRANSFER POLICY:
    Notification of transfer must be given at least 7 days prior to the course commencement. All course transfers have an expiry of 12 months of the initial course start date, given that at least 7 days notice has been received. It is the student's responsibility to inform us of their availability for new course dates. The student will also be subject to any course fee increases made during that time. The 3-hour introductory workshop and 1 day auditioning workshops are non-transferable.  
    VIDEO POLICY:
    All class footage filmed at Brave Studios remains the property of Brave Studios and must not be used for any purpose unless permission is sought and granted by Brave Studios Directors.
