Online Voice course

Voice course is back for another term. Due to the current circumstances, Brave Studios is adapting to help students continue to learn the craft of Acting outside of the classroom.

All classes will be conducted via Zoom until we are able to be back in the Studio. Zoom is an easy web-based video conferencing tool and a mobile app that allows users to meet online with LIVE video. We will, therefore, be able to offer our usual classes in an easy-to-use online format.

Our Teachers have been fully trained in this new platform to ensure Brave Studios continue to deliver premium courses.Our online Voice course has been adapted to enhance the teachings for Online acting training

IMPORTANT: In the event restrictions are lifted from the 26th October onwards and we are able to continue with face to face learning – we will definitely return to the classroom.

Our Voice Course with acclaimed actor and master teacher Rob Meldrum will improve your vocal clarity, diversity and power. Your voice is your main instrument in any form of performance. By training the voice, actors and performers can use their breath fluidly and safely to deliver a stronger, truthful and more confident performance.

This voice course aims to do the following;

  • Personal voice diagnostics
  • Introduce voice in performance
  • Finding your own voice
  • Extending your voice range
  • How best to avoid habits that limit your vocal power.
  • Introduce vocal warm ups
  • Connection to text
  • Strengthening the minds link to breath
  • Body and vocal health

Rather than layering on artifice and theory, your voice coach seeks to strip away obstacles to the actor’s voice, making it as short a trip as possible to vocal freedom.

This voice course complements any student who is currently training in Brave Studios 8-week Beginners acting courses Level 1 and Level 2 and the 8 week Actors Workshop Course. We encourage all students to do a voice course, as it is a vital tool to enhance your acting work. You will also receive a 10% discount on this course if you are doing one of our 8-week courses in the same term.

Strong command of the English language:

A strong command of the English language and text is paramount for this acting course as students will be dealing with difficult concepts therefore a strong English comprehension is essential. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

Applications & Pre-requisites

Strong command of the English Language

Students will be dealing with difficult concepts that require an advanced level of English language comprehension. Therefore, it is imperative that all students have a strong command of English as there will be constant reading and learning of text. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

  • Payment Options

    *We do not take payment through the website. Payment can either be made over the phone via credit card, or via direct deposit. The account details will be sent to you in an invoice once you enrol.
    *If paying a deposit, please note that the balance for the course is due 2 weeks prior to course commencement. Your deposit must be received before your place can be confirmed
    *STUDENT LOYALTY DISCOUNT - If you have completed 3 or more 8 week courses with Brave Studios you may be eligible for an ongoing 10% discount. This only applies to Beginner and Actors Workshop 8 week courses commenced from 2013 onwards.

  • CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT:

    BALANCE: Any outstanding balance must be paid 1 week prior to the course start date.  
    REFUND POLICY: Notification of cancellation must be given at least 14 days prior to class commencement for course fees or deposit to be refunded. If you have enrolled but do not notify us of cancellation 14 days prior to the commencement of the course your deposit and/or any fees paid will be retained by Brave Studios. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after course commencement or during the run of the course. Brave Studios reserves the right to cancel any class in which case fees will be refunded in full. Payments for the 3 hour introductory workshop and 1 day auditioning workshops are non-refundable.  
    TRANSFER POLICY: If a student has paid a deposit and wishes to transfer into another course as opposed to receiving a refund, the transfer should take place within 12 months of the initial course start date, given that at least 14 days notice has been received. It is the students responsibility to inform us of their availability for new course dates. The student will also be subject to any course fee increases made during that time.
