Brave Studios is thrilled to welcome our long-time friend Scott Major for an exclusive 8-week acting course. With over two decades of experience in film, television and theatre, Scott brings a rare combination of insights as both an award-winning director and accomplished actor. Scott’s perspective as a director gives students a deeper understanding of what happens on set and what directors are truly looking for in a performance. He helps actors bridge the gap between technical precision and emotional truth—teaching them how to make bold, informed choices that stand out in the audition room and on screen.

Passionate about the craft of acting, Scott works closely with each individual to uncover their most authentic and powerful performances, encouraging them to dive into the unknown, trust their instincts, and truly live in the moment.

Brave Studios’ Professional Actor Studio provides advanced acting classes for professional actors and advanced-level graduates. These Advanced Acting classes run weekly, challenging acting students to keep skills active and fresh.

Students will be working with many diverse, demanding and challenging scenes. Your Acting coach will direct and challenge you to find your truth in the scene, get rid of any obstacles in the way and make sure you are always fighting for what you want.

This is an advanced acting course for the more experienced actor wanting to meet with his/her blocks and/or limitations, get out of their comfort zone and who are determined to overcome and gain a deeper knowledge into themselves and their craft. By participating in the professional Actor Studio, actors are given the platform and skills to let go and trust themselves to dive even further into their truth.

If you are an actor needing to be challenged further to move forward in your work, this is the perfect acting course for you.
This course is designed as an actors workout that actors can re-visit again and again to keep skills fresh and the actor challenged. 

Course will cover:

  • Challenging scene-work
  • Performing your scene every week
  • Small class sizes to ensure you get the attention you deserve- max 14
  • To find your truth and strength as an actor
  • Strengthening your connection with other actors.
  • Work through your personal blocks to get to the truth of a scene
  • Clear bad habits
  • Connect to the truth of the scene, and finding the character within yourself.
  • Find the right beats and actions within a scene to determine what you want the other character to do, think, or feel in that moment and try to affect a change in the other person.
  • Final week mock self tape with Scott Major

What you walk away with:

  • All students receive a link to view scenes filmed in class, via Brave Studios’ Vimeo page for self-critiquing in your own time.

Strong Command of the English language

Students will be dealing with difficult concepts that require an advanced level of English language comprehension. Therefore, it is imperative that all students have a strong command of English. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

  • Applicants assessed via Showreel or audition at Brave Studios with one of the Acting School Directors.
  • Applicants must be working professionally within the Film and TV industry

Strong command of the English Language

Students will be dealing with difficult concepts that require an advanced level of English language comprehension. Therefore, it is imperative that all students have a strong command of English as there will be constant reading and learning of text. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

  • Payment Options

    *We do not take payment through the website. Payment can either be made over the phone via credit card, or via direct deposit. The account details will be sent to you in an invoice once you enrol.

    *Full Payment is required once you have been confirmed. Please note we DO NOT take any deposit payments for our courses at Brave Studios.
    *STUDENT LOYALTY DISCOUNT - If you have completed 3 or more 8 week courses with Brave Studios you may be eligible for an ongoing 10% discount. This only applies to Beginner and Actors Workshop 8 week courses commenced from 2013 onwards.

  • CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

    COURSE PAYMENTS: Courses must be paid in full once your application has been confirmed.

    REFUND POLICY:
    Notification of cancellation must be given at least 14 days prior to course commencement for course fees to be refunded. If you do not notify us of cancellation 14 days prior to the commencement of the course your fees paid will be retained by Brave Studios.
    No refunds will be given for cancellations made after course commencement. If you miss 3X consecutive classes from weeks 1-3, you are unable to attend the remainder of the course or receive a transfer/refund.
    Payments for the 3-hour introductory workshop and 1-day auditioning workshops are non-refundable.
    Brave Studios reserves the right to cancel any class, in which case fees will be refunded in full.
    12 MONTH PROGRAMS- All payments must be made on the agreed date specified on the Invoice. Should you withdraw from the course after the commencement date, any fees paid will be retained, no refund will be applied and you are obliged to pay the balance of all fees owing.
    TRANSFER POLICY:
    Notification of transfer must be given at least 14 days prior to the course commencement. All course transfers have an expiry of 12 months of the initial course start date, given that at least 14 days notice has been received. It is the student's responsibility to inform us of their availability for new course dates. The student will also be subject to any course fee increases made during that time. The 3-hour introductory workshop and 1 day auditioning workshops are non-transferable.  
    VIDEO POLICY:
    All class footage filmed at Brave Studios remains the property of Brave Studios and must not be used for any purpose unless permission is sought and granted by Brave Studios Directors.
