Director Stevie Cruz-Martin is coming to Brave Studios and we are thrilled to offer an exclusive opportunity for professional Actors to work with her. Stevie is one of Australia’s most successful local  Directors, and will bring with her a wealth of information to this exciting Masterclass. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside Stevie in a nurturing and collaborative environment.

Stevie has a remarkable ability to craft performances that make worlds come alive for audiences. Through her vision and direction, she helps actors bring depth and authenticity to their characters, creating immersive, believable experiences on screen. Her talent for storytelling elevates every project, making her work resonate with audiences long after the credits roll.

Stevie Cruz-Martin is an award-winning film and television director. Some of her recent credits include, Foxtel’s THE TWELVE Season 2 Starring Sam Neil and Frances O’Conner, Award Winning SBS drama Series SAFE HOME for which Stevie won Best Direction for and an Australian Directors Guild Award nomination for best mini series, SBS drama series THE TAILINGS, and feature film PULSE.

Together with Stevie, Brave Studios has created a 2 day workshop for participants to experience her directorial techniques to ensure a truthful and connected performance each and every time. Those lucky enough to work alongside Stevie, leave not only fulfilled but better for the experience, as she helps elevate their work to new heights.

DAY 1 – REHEARSAL – Collaborating with Stevie and your scene partner on an allocated scene.

DAY 2 – FILMING – Applying notes and discoveries from DAY 1  and filming your scene in the studio with Stevies Direction.

All participants will receive a course breakdown once confirmed in the workshop.

A strong command of the English Language:

Students will be dealing with difficult concepts that require an advanced level of English language comprehension. Therefore, it is imperative that all students have a strong command of English. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

Please note, this is a professional level course. Enrolment to this course is by Application Only.

You must have professional experience in the industry and/or professional level training to apply. Your Showreel and CV  on application will be assessed by both the School and Course Directors.

  • Payment Options

    *We do not take payment through the website. Payment can either be made over the phone via credit card, or via direct deposit. The account details will be sent to you in an invoice once you enrol.

    *Full Payment is required once you have been confirmed. Please note we DO NOT take any deposit payments for our courses at Brave Studios.
    *STUDENT LOYALTY DISCOUNT - If you have completed 3 or more 8 week courses with Brave Studios you may be eligible for an ongoing 10% discount. This only applies to Beginner and Actors Workshop 8 week courses commenced from 2013 onwards.

  • CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

    COURSE PAYMENTS: Courses must be paid in full once your application has been confirmed.

    REFUND POLICY:
    Notification of cancellation must be given at least 14 days prior to course commencement for course fees to be refunded. If you do not notify us of cancellation 14 days prior to the commencement of the course your fees paid will be retained by Brave Studios.
    No refunds will be given for cancellations made after course commencement.
    Payments for the 3-hour introductory workshop and 1-day auditioning workshops are non-refundable.
    Brave Studios reserves the right to cancel any class, in which case fees will be refunded in full.
    12 MONTH PROGRAMS- All payments must be made on the agreed date specified on the Invoice. Should you withdraw from the course after the commencement date, any fees paid will be retained, no refund will be applied and you are obliged to pay the balance of all fees owing.
    TRANSFER POLICY:
    Notification of transfer must be given at least 14 days prior to the course commencement. All course transfers have an expiry of 12 months of the initial course start date, given that at least 14 days notice has been received. It is the student's responsibility to inform us of their availability for new course dates. The student will also be subject to any course fee increases made during that time. The 3-hour introductory workshop and 1 day auditioning workshops are non-transferable.  
    VIDEO POLICY:
    All class footage filmed at Brave Studios remains the property of Brave Studios and must not be used for any purpose unless permission is sought and granted by Brave Studios Directors.
