Term Class 6 Weeks
This US Accent course gives you the opportunity to get prepared for US Self tests and productions!
Brave Studios US Accent Scene Study Course with American-born and NIDA trained actor Tyler Coppin. This US accent course is for the more Advanced Actor who feels that their US Accent is proficient, but would like more practice in performing and honing their skills to sound 100% authentic.
Although the primary focus would be on the actor’s application and ability to maintain their US accents in scenes, classes will also involve some script and scene analysis. You will put your US accent and American authenticity to the test using scene work using scripts from American screenplays, television series’ and plays.
It’s an all-out workout for your US self-testing skills (or auditioning in the room if you’re lucky enough to do so here or in LA!)
This is NOT an introduction to the American Accent. If you have never studied the US Accent previously, or would like to gain more guidance, please see our foundations US Accent course Level 1 here
If your accent needs tweaking, this American accent course is for you and not to be missed!
Classes will cover:
- Individual diagnostic on your accent
- Applying General American directly to dialogue
- Scene Work using General American
- Filming US Scenes in-studio
- Scene Study Direction on US scripts to enhance both your performance and Accent
- You will also receive a link to view your scenes filmed in class, via Brave Studios’ Vimeo page for self-critiquing in your own time.
