Voice Course

Voice 6 weeks

Our Voice Course with acclaimed actor and teacher Rob Meldrum will improve your vocal clarity, diversity and power. Students will release habitual tension in the body to find a deeper aliveness, spontaneity and freedom in their voice.

Your voice is your main instrument in any form of performance. By training the voice, actors and performers can use their breath fluidly and safely to deliver a stronger, truthful and more confident performance.

This voice course aims to do the following;

  • Personal voice diagnostics
  • Cultivate a deeper physical awareness
  • Introduce voice in performance
  • Finding your own voice
  • Extending your voice range
  • How best to avoid habits that limit your vocal power.
  • Introduce vocal warm ups
  • Connection to text
  • Strengthening the minds link to breath
  • Body and vocal health

Rather than layering on artifice and theory, your voice coach seeks to strip away obstacles to the actor’s voice, making it as short a trip as possible to vocal freedom.

This voice course complements any student who is currently training in Brave Studios 8-week Beginners acting courses Level 1 and Level 2 and the 8 week Actors Workshop Course. We encourage all students to do a voice course, as it is a vital tool to enhance your acting work. You will also receive a 10% discount on this course if you are doing one of our 8-week courses in the same term.

Strong command of the English language:

A strong command of the English language and text is paramount for this acting course as students will be dealing with difficult concepts therefore a strong English comprehension is essential. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

Strong command of the English Language

Students will be dealing with difficult concepts that require an advanced level of English language comprehension. Therefore, it is imperative that all students have a strong command of English as there will be constant reading and learning of text. Please feel free to discuss this with one of our staff at Brave Studios should you need clarification.

    *We do not take payment through the website. Payment can either be made over the phone via credit card, or via direct deposit. The account details will be sent to you in an invoice once you enrol.

    *Full Payment is required once you have been confirmed. Please note we DO NOT take any deposit payments for our courses at Brave Studios.
    *STUDENT LOYALTY DISCOUNT - If you have completed 3 or more 8 week courses with Brave Studios you may be eligible for an ongoing 10% discount. This only applies to Beginner and Actors Workshop 8 week courses commenced from 2013 onwards.

  • CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT:

    COURSE PAYMENTS: Courses must be paid in full once your application has been confirmed.

    REFUND POLICY:
    Notification of cancellation must be given at least 7 days prior to course commencement for course fees to be refunded. If you do not notify us of cancellation 7 days prior to the commencement of the course your fees paid will be retained by Brave Studios.
    No refunds will be given for cancellations made after course commencement. If you miss 3X consecutive classes from weeks 1-3, you are unable to attend the remainder of the course or receive a transfer/refund.
    Payments for the 3-hour introductory workshop and 1-day auditioning workshops are non-refundable.
    Brave Studios reserves the right to cancel any class, in which case fees will be refunded in full.
    12 MONTH PROGRAMS- All payments must be made on the agreed date specified on the Invoice. Should you withdraw from the course after the commencement date, any fees paid will be retained, no refund will be applied and you are obliged to pay the balance of all fees owing.
    TRANSFER POLICY:
    Notification of transfer must be given at least 7 days prior to the course commencement. All course transfers have an expiry of 12 months of the initial course start date, given that at least 7 days notice has been received. It is the student's responsibility to inform us of their availability for new course dates. The student will also be subject to any course fee increases made during that time. The 3-hour introductory workshop and 1 day auditioning workshops are non-transferable.  
    VIDEO POLICY:
    All class footage filmed at Brave Studios remains the property of Brave Studios and must not be used for any purpose unless permission is sought and granted by Brave Studios Directors.
