Fabio Motta

Fabio Motta is an actor, clown and teaching artist based in Melbourne, Australia. He has had the fortune of acting and devising theatre in Australia, Europe and the United States. He is a certified teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework® and a teaches complicité, mask and theatrical clowning. 

As a freelance educator, Fabio Motta has taught and guest lectured at various institutions in Australia and across the globe, some of these include; New York University (Tisch school of the Arts) , HB studio, The Actors Studio MFA program (Pace University), Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts,  Tamasha Theatre Company (UK), Ume Group (Physical Theatre Ensemble, New York), St. Martin’s Youth Theatre, National Theatre Drama School (Melbourne) and the Victorian College of the Arts (Melbourne University). Fabio Motta founded his school in Melbourne called ‘The Clowning Workshop’ where he runs on-going workshops and often co-teaches in masterclasses with Kristine Landon-Smith.

Most recently he premiered his highly physical and hilarious one-person show ‘Spot’ at Theatre Works in 2021, with a much-awaited return season in 2022. We are thrilled to have Fabio on board teaching our teens in the Teen 12 month Program.
