Jo Vicente Pires
Jo is an actor working across film, television and stage. Her screen credits include the BAFTA-winning Mrs Biggs(ITV), Preacher (Netflix), Healing (Craig Monahan), Girl in the Moon (Alethea Jones), Alasturia (Corrie Chen), and The Housemate (ABC). She has appeared in mainstage productions including MTC’s I Call My Brothers (Osamah Sami), Arts Centre Melbourne’s Love Boy (Susie Dee), and Tenderness (Christos Tsiolkas and Patricia Cornelius) at Malthouse Theatre. Jo co-wrote, directed, and performed in the Waking in Angola. She has co-created multiple Green Room and Fringe Award-winning productions, including the Helpmann-winning Beagle Bay Chronicles. Jo completed her postgraduate studies in Arts and Social Engagement (Theatre) from the VCA and has an extensive background as a performing arts educator, working within arts companies and all levels of education.
