Scott Major is an award-winning director, actor, writer and producer with over 30 years of experience across television, film and theatre. Best known to audiences for reprising his iconic role as Peter Rivers in the internationally acclaimed reboot of Heartbreak High, Scott has built a remarkable career both in front of and behind the camera.
As a director, Scott Major has helmed over 280 episodes of Neighbours—including both of its celebrated finales—along with major television projects such as Playing For Keeps, Lie With Me, and Riptide. His feature film directorial debut, Darklands (Stan), earned an AACTA nomination and cemented his reputation as one of Australia’s most sought-after storytellers.
Scott’s recent credits include the gripping TV drama Scrublands and the heartfelt comedy Til You Make It (now streaming on YouTube via MajorLooKTV), showcasing his exceptional versatility and creative range. His upcoming screen appearances include feature films The Serpent’s Skin, Thunder, Heritage and Our Effed Up World.
Beyond his screen work, Scott has made significant contributions to Australian theatre. As founder of Bathroom Floor Productions and co-founder/director of the Poppy Seed Theatre Festival, he has created and directed acclaimed productions such as All The Intimacy, The Fellatio Monologues, Death in a Box, The Subtle Art of Flirting, Closer, Terminus and Salt.
