Travis Cotton

Travis Cotton graduated from WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts) in 1999. Immediately, he began acting in plays both on the main stage and independent theatres. Travis’ film and TV credits include, Blurred, Right Here Right Now, Stuffed, Bastard Boys, My Year Without Sex to name a few. In 2003 Travis’s first play ‘The Fifth at Randwick’ won Naked Theatre Company’s Top Shorts competition and played in theatres around Australia. His second play The Rites of Evil went to the 2004 Playwrights’ conference and in 2008 premiered at Red Stitch Theatre Company in Melbourne. In 2005 Travis co-wrote a musical called Blasted Earth, with music by Tim Minchin. Blasted Earth had a sell-out season Sydney in 2005. Travis’s most recent play ‘Robots vs. Art’ has played around Australia. It’s on the Victorian school curriculum, and was published by Currency Press and is into its second printing. During this time Travis has continued to work as an actor, performing in at least 20 plays over the last 10 years.
